Safeway has a couple great deals this week.
On Friday/Saturday/Sunday they have Tillamook 2# Cheddar for $3.99 (limit 2)
18ct eggs are 1.49 with in ad coupon and a 20.00 purchase.
All week they have Kleenex tissue 110 ct. for .99 Use the coupon .50/3 for the 10/3 SS, double it and you'll be paying 1.97 or so for 3 boxes. Good deal.. but it gets better. Buy 3 and you get a $3.00 catalina for this. So you just got all 3 boxes for free. From what I see, you can roll this one, meaning you can turn around and go buy 3 more plus a cheap filler to get the price up over 3.00, use your catalina you just got and do it again. And again. And again!

Question about the $20 limit for coupons...the coupon says minimum $20 purchase qualifies you for all purchases. To me that means your total could be well under $20, but they won't do it that way...they say it has to be over for each coupon. Has anyone else had this problem? or am I just reading it wrong??
ReplyDeleteI read it as if you spend $20.00 you can buy all the items that say you must have a 20.00 purchase. It seems as if the total must be over 20. They may have changed it all recently, as the 10/50 is now your total must be 50 AFTER all the coupons and safeway card savings are taken off. No more super deals with totals coming to 12.00 or something at the end. anyone else know if this has changed?

ReplyDeleteHmmm, makes me wonder if we've been going to different Safeways...I've always (as in many years), had to keep the total at $50 after coupons in order to use the 10/50. What I noticed being new on the 10/50 is the small print saying certain items don't qualify...like liquid dairy! Anyways, I don't understand the coupons with the $20 limit...I tried asking manager, and she is the one that told me that it has to STAY above 20 in order to use any of them. That just doesn't make sense to me...maybe I'll have to ask at a different one.

I'm not finding an answer on line for the kleenex question. I will be going to SAfeway today so once I get home, I'll let you know. I don't know if the .99/box is WITH that 2.00 coupon or if it is before and you can use it too. If anyone knows... tell us please.
ReplyDeleteThe kleenex catalina did not print for me. This afternoon I read in a blog that it might be over 10/3?? Anyways I am going back to see if the $2.00 off safeway coupon will work.
ReplyDeleteNevermind with the earlier comment. I was putting my receipts away and stuck with my other printouts from Safeway there was my 3.00 catalina from Kleenex! Good thing I doublechecked!
ReplyDeleteI just came from BG Safeway. They do not sell a 110 count box of Kleenex. The cheapest Kleenex I saw there was a 200 count box for $1.50 each if you bought 4. This was still a good deal, just not free or a money maker. After coupons and CAT it would end up being .50 a box.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find the kleenex there either. I asked for the specific bar code and she said each store gets their own stock by what they order, so it may be at a neighboring store but not here. :( good to hear the catalina is printing out with the purchase of 4. ( see comment above)
