Carrie----
As the cook for 7 children and one DEAR husband, there has been lots of time to experiment, lots of trial and error as I have followed two of my passions - great food and saving money. I've shared my ideas many times one on one with people but am thrilled and thankful that I have the opportunity to share with you, here. I grew up with a mom who loved to cook and shared her passion with me. I've been loving the kitchen since about age 3, sharing that love now with my 5 year old daughter. It's so fun to watch her and know that she is doing just as I did at that age. I hope you enjoy your time here and will come back often to visit and take part by sending in your comments and suggestions.

KATHY'S BIO:
Growing up with a very frugal mother and two frugal grandmothers most likely started me gathering knowledge on how to stretch the grocery dollars at an early age. I am blessed with a husband who will eat anything I fix and thank me for it and 7 children who are willing to try new things thus making my job a whole lot easier. I hope that between Carrie and I we can share our experiences of having fun making a meal for a big family cheaply. It can be especially uplifting job to do (cook for your family), when you have others to share it with.
